Drinking alcohol during pregnancy affects learning and memory function in offspring?

[unable to retrieve full-text content]Maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy has detrimental effects on fetal central nervous system development. Maternal alcohol consumption prior to and during pregnancy significantly affects cognitive functions in offspring, which may be related to changes in cyclin-dependent kinase 5 because it is associated with modulation of synaptic plasticity and impaired learning and memory.

Active NCAA Athletes Added to Lawsuit Over TV Money, Videogames

On Thursday, active athletes were added to a proposed class action lawsuit against the NCAA where billions of dollars in TV money could be at stake.

The lawsuit has been pending for more than four years, and has taken turns and twists on its route to becoming a legal challenge that focuses on the alleged antitrust injuries inherent in forcing athletes to sign waivers and give up the right to profit from video game and broadcasting deals.

A San Francisco federal judge is considering whether to certify the class action, and after a hearing last month, allowed the plaintiffs to amend their claims to add current athletes to the proposed lawsuit. Now joining ex-athletes like Oscar Robertson and Bill Russell are those still in school including Arizona linebacker Jake Fischer, Clemson defensive back Darius Robinson and Minnesota senior wide receiver Victor Keise.

While not as famous as the ex-athletes, the inclusion of a half dozen current athletes arguably ups the stakes as the NCAA and member conferences find that their most lucrative licensing partnerships are potentially subject to antitrust scrutiny. In addition to the new named plaintiffs as class representatives, the plaintiffs have added details in a whopping 213-page amended complaint that was filed on Thursday.

Here's the full amended complaint.

The new charges come after U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken told the plaintiffs that the "pleading may be amended only the minimum amount necessary" to conform to their certification motion and deficiencies identified by the defendants.

Throughout the process, the NCAA and other defendants like Electronic Arts have been upset at how much the plaintiffs' claims have changed from the legal fight's start. At the beginning, the case was more about some video games that allegedly misappropriated the likeness of former players through avatars. The evolution to a lawsuit that's the biggest antitrust challenge the NCAA has ever faced has become a basis partly for the defendants' demand that the certification be denied.

As Judge Wilken examines whether to let the plaintiffs proceed -- and if so, how -- the new amended lawsuit includes allegations like EA offering to establish a player fund in 2007 for the use of student-athlete names, images and likenesses.

PHOTOS: Touchdown! Hollywood's Best Football Movies

According to the complaint, the Collegiate Licensing Company, "negotiating on the NCAA's behalf, instead suggested that the money should go to the NCAA. EA agreed to pay a kicker to NCAA in order 'to align interests and incentivize all parties to help build the category with new rights.' EA made this offer contingent on 'no royalties ... to a player fund.'"

The plaintiffs say that not everybody was on board this plan within the NCAA's ranks.

"NCAA administrators noted 'real concern' that use of student-athletes' names, images, and likenesses in video games 'adds to the argument that student-athletes should be unionized and receive a cut of the profits, etc.," says the lawsuit.

But objections were allegedly overruled by former NCAA president Myles Brand and NCAA marketing executive Greg Shaheen.

Last week, in the midst of the legal drama, the NCAA ended its relationship with EA.

As for TV money,? the plaintiffs talk about how the NCAA has grown its annual tournament from one that derived a few million dollars in 1979 to one that now commands billions of dollars. And the plaintiffs point to ways that "new licensing deals for this game continue to be struck," for example, speaking how the "Big Ten's Greatest Games" are now shown on Hulu, co-owned by Fox, which is also a partner in the Big Ten Network.

In the demand for relief, the plaintiffs believe that they are entitled to a declaration that any releases that purport to relinquish rights to compensation are "void and unenforceable" and further that defendants and their partners "be permanently enjoined and restrained from, in any manner,?continuing, maintaining, or renewing the contract, combination, or conspiracy alleged... ."

The athletes also want the defendants to be disgorged of profits connected to the sale of videogames as well as any products that contain game footage. They haven't directly asked for money from live television events yet (notwithstanding how today's televised games often provide flashbacks), but if ultimately successful, the class action could raise questions about what kind of consent is needed from active athletes, and potentially pave the way towards some sort of deal that puts an end to amateurism in college sports.

Philadelphia Eagles Coach Chip Kelly?s Spread Offense Will Extend QB Michael Vick?s Career

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Just as suddenly as QB Michael Vick erupted back into the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009, following a two-year prison sentence, the 10-year vet looked to be fumbling and injuring himself right back out of the league that he had just fought so hard to return to.

But following an embarrassing and certainly humbling 4-12 campaign last season, the entire Eagles? organization has received a massive face-lift and is ready for a brand new era in 2013. Former legendary University of Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is now leading the charge for the Eagles with a dangerously fast and explosive offensive system that utilizes a spread look that is jam-packed with speed at every position.

Kelly?s spread offense is a god-send for Vick, as it is one of the most innovative and modern offensive packages to ever hit the NFL. The heavy reliance on up-tempo rhythm, superior athletic ability and all-around versatility makes Vick the perfect kind of quarterback to lead the way.

Before the likes of QBs Cam Newton, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick entered the league over the past two seasons, Vick was the only NFL quarterback who was a legitimate threat in the running game for nearly a decade. In his final season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2006, Vick became the first NFL quarterback to surpass 1,000 rushing yards in a single regular season.

It is highly, highly, I repeat, highly, unlikely that Vick will ever again come close to 1,000 rushing yards, but I think that it is reasonable to say that Vick could churn for at least 700 yards over a full season.

But nevermind the statistics; if the Eagles had chosen anybody but Kelly as their head coach in 2013, Vick would be in another city, barely clinging onto his final days in the league.

Scorching Northeast heat wave set to break over the weekend

There may finally be some relief from the suffocating heat and humidity that has affected millions of people this week. But with that, come some strong storms. Weather Channel meteorologist Mike Seidel has more.

By Gillian Spear, NBC News

The stifling heat wave that blanketed most of the country for the past week days relented on Saturday as storms swept through the Midwest and Northeast.

Meteorologists said an advancing cold front managed to bring temperatures down a tad in some portions of the Great Lakes region on Friday before making a drive through the Northeast.

The cold front reached the Ohio Valley and parts of the Northeast on Saturday and was expected to hit the mid-Atlantic States on Sunday, the Weather Channel reports.

The front brought stormy conditions with it. A tornado with 110-mph winds collapsed the wall of the athletic center at Ursuline College in northeast Ohio early Saturday and damaged other buildings but there were no injuries, The Associated Press.

In Philadelphia, the threat of lightning and heavy rain forced people attending a Taylor Swift concert to flee their seats and move into a concourse area until the storm swept through, NBCPhiladelphia.com reported. Concertgoers were allowed to go back to their seats at 10:30 p.m. ET. The storm also causes scattered power failures.

Carlo Allegri / Reuters

A group of students relax in Bryant Park during a heat wave in New York, July 20, 2013.

Over the weekend, temperatures in Chicago were expected to drop more than 15 degrees, driving the heat down from 94 on Friday to an anticipated 78 degrees on Sunday.

In the Northeast, the week-long heat wave peaked at 10 degrees higher than July temperatures in past years. On Friday, the heat broke daily record highs in Burlington, Vermont, Portland, Maine and Boston, where temperatures reached 99 degrees with a heat index of 105.

The hot and humid conditions have driven many people indoors, causing record-breaking power usage in New York City on Friday, as temperatures in some locations hit 100 degrees. Saturday was the seventh straight day with temperatures in New York at 90 or above, the longest heat wave in the city since 2002, NBCNewYork.com said.

The heat is the suspected cause of at least 13 deaths nationwide, three of which occurred in Milwaukee. The National Weather Service says Milwaukee recorded four consecutive days of highs in the mid-90s, with the heat index reaching over 100 degrees. But on Saturday, the city saw highs only in the low 80s.?

Thirty-five people were treated for heat-related illnesses on Saturday at a rally for Trayvon Martin in Dallas, Texas, but no one was taken to a hospital, according to city Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans.

A cold front is making its way to the East Coast of the country, which could bring some much-needed relief to residents who have been enduring a heat wave. TODAY's Dylan Dreyer reports

NFL: Josh Brent Retires. Darrelle Revis & Pierre Garcon Ready for Camp

Dec 2, 2012; Arlington, TX, USA; Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent (92) on the sidelines against the Philadelphia Eagles at Cowboys Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent has decided to retire from the NFL?in order to focus on getting his life in order. Brent has watched his NFL career and livelihood spiral out of control over the past 8 months, and it all began with the fatal car crash that killed fellow teammate Jerry Brown, a practice squad linebacker who was riding with Brent while both men were intoxicated, and Brent lost control of his car and crashed, killing Brown.

Brent is now facing manslaughter charges, and?has also failed two drug tests when marijuana was found present in his system. The second failed test landed Brent back in jail on June 27. Brent was released Sunday under a court order and he was given new conditions, which includes wearing a drug-detection patch and a ban on driving.

Brent recorded 44 tackles and 1.5 sacks after being a seventh-round pick in the 2010 Supplemental Draft out of Illinois.

?

NFL training camps are opening over the week, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head?Coach Greg Schiano is confident that newly-acquired cornerback Darrelle Revis will be on the field when training camp opens next Thursday. The NFL?All-Pro is still rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered last season, and will?likely be limited for the early parts of training camp, but is expected to be 100% when the Bucs open the 2013 NFL season against none other than the New York Jets.?

?

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has received full medical clearance to practice when training camp opens next week. Garcon had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder shortly after the Redskins season ended.

State?s June unemployment held still, but jobs surged

Washington?s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged from May to June, at 6.8 percent, while the economy gained an estimated 9,800 jobs.

?On balance, this is a strong jobs report that is split between a re-energizing private sector and a sagging government sector,? said Paul Turek, a labor economist for Employment Security, in a press release.

Industries with the most estimated job gains in June were construction, up 4,100; professional and business services, also up 4,100; leisure and hospitality, up 3,800; education and health services, up 1,600; wholesale trade, up 600; retail trade, up 500; transportation, warehousing and utilities, up 400; information, up 400; and financial activities, up 200.

Only two industries showed job losses last month. Manufacturing had a slight drop of about 200 jobs. Meanwhile, government shed an estimated 5,900 jobs in June, more than offsetting the large estimated increase of 3,800 jobs in May.

Turek noted that the large swings in the government numbers, principally in public education, are likely due to hiring and layoff patterns occurring earlier or later than usual, which throw off the seasonal adjustment factors.

Economists use seasonal adjustment to remove or discount normal seasonal changes, thus making underlying trends easier to identify. When seasonal changes occur earlier or later than normal, it can cause preliminary estimates to appear larger or smaller than they really are.

?Overall, government employment has trended downward the past few years, and that probably hasn?t changed,? said Turek.

So far, Washington has regained about 84 percent (172,400) of the 205,000 jobs it lost during the recession.

In June, an estimated 237,100 people (seasonally adjusted) in Washington were unemployed and looking for work. That includes 114,479 who claimed unemployment benefits last month.

Apple delaying iPhone 5S due to switch in screen size?

Has Apple decided mid-stream to change the iPhone 5S' screen size?

Has Apple decided mid-stream to change the iPhone 5S' screen size?

(Credit: Apple)

Put this in the radical rumor file. Apple has decided to delay the iPhone 5S in order to switch to a larger screen size, say Asia-sourced reports.

Apple will delay the release of the iPhone 5S in order to give it time to make a switch to a larger screen size, according to a report from BrightWire News, citing sources at suppliers. Commercial Times, via Bloomberg, is also reporting the rumor.

Apple has decided to up the screen size from 4 inches to 4.3 inches, the report claimed.

"[Apple] halted processor production for [the] iPhone 5S in May," according to BrightWire news. That initial iPhone 5S design had a 4-inch screen.

The 5S was expected to hit the market in September or October but has been pushed back to the end of the year, both reports said.

Budget iPhones will be released by October, as expected. That design was not changed.

Large-screen phones with displays bigger than 4 inches are catching on fast. It's possible that Apple believes it needs to respond to market demands more quickly.

Apple has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Libya moves a step closer to new post-Gaddafi constitution

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Libya's national assembly passed a law on Tuesday providing for the election of a committee to draft a new constitution following the overthrow of dictator Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.

The 60 members of the constitutional committee will be elected by popular vote, and will have 120 days to draft the charter, lawmakers said.

They will be divided equally between Libya's three regions: Tripolitania in the west, Cyrenaica in the east and Fezzan in the south. The model resembles the committee that drafted Libya's pre-Gaddafi constitution, implemented when it became an independent state in 1951.

Libya desperately needs a viable government and system of rule so that it can focus on reconstruction and on healing the divisions opened up by the 2011 war that toppled Gaddafi.

Those who will draft the constitution will need to take into account political and tribal rivalries and calls for more autonomy in the east when deciding what political system Libya will adopt. Their draft will be put to a referendum.

Armed violence and lawlessness caused in part by the continuing power of former rebel militias and the ineffectiveness of state security forces has hobbled governance in wide areas of the oil-producing state.

Attempts to write a new constitution have been repeatedly delayed because of political infighting within the General National Congress (GNC), which was elected for an 18-month term last July in Libya's first free election in nearly 50 years.

Most GNC members are civilian professionals or former exiled opposition members with little or no political experience or knowledge of how to run a government.

Gaddafi ostensibly ruled Libya by a bizarre set of laws drawn up by him in his Green Book, although in practice he and his family ran a totalitarian state where no coherent political opposition was tolerated and rival tribes were bought off or played off against each other.

On the constitutional committee, six seats will be reserved for women and another six will be given to members of the Amazigh (Berber), Tibu and Tuareg communities. Candidates will stand as individuals, not representing political parties, officials said.

Omar Hmaidan, spokesman of the GNC, said the committee would be based in the town of Baida. The election date has yet to be announced but it is expected to take six months to organize.

One congress member said the main criteria for candidates were that they must be at least 25 and hold no passport other than a Libyan one.

Separately, GNC deputy chairman Giuma Attaigha said on Tuesday that he was resigning for personal reasons.

Meet Utilite, a $99 quad-core ARM-based PC running Ubuntu

Meet Utilite, a $99 quadcore ARMbased PC running Ubuntu

That box you see above? It's a quad-core ARM-based PC running Ubuntu called Utilite. The desktop system, made by Compulab, will be available next month starting at $99. While there are plenty of Android dongles built on ARM SoCs out there, few (if any) can truly offer a PC-like experience. The company -- best known for its Trim Slice, Fit-PC and MintBox products -- wants to change this.

Utilite packs a single-, dual- or quad-core Freescale i.MX6 Cortex-A9 MPCore processor (up to 1.2 GHz), up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM (1066MHz), an mSATA SSD (up to 512GB), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI and DVI-D outputs, two Gigabit Ethernet sockets, four USB 2.0 ports, one micro-USB OTG connector, audio jacks (analog and S/PDIF), a micro-SD XD slot and two ultra-mini RS232 interfaces -- phew!

Rounding things up is support for OpenGL ES, OpenVG and OpenCL EP plus multi-stream 1080p H.264 on-chip decoding. All this fits in a chassis mesuring just 5.3 x 3.9 x 0.8 inches (135 x 100 x 21mm) and only consumes 3-8W using a 10-16V supply (unregulated). Those are impressive specs for the price, and the system sure looks positioned to compete favorably with some of the x86 boxes out there.

Technology takes on breast cancer - News & events - ANU

Photo from Flickr

Photo from Flickr

An ANU student has developed a smartphone app for the early detection of breast cancer.

Software engineering undergraduate Sanjay Sreekumar designed the app for breast cancer awareness organisation The Young Adults Program.

?There?s a big potential for apps to provide a proactive means of detecting illnesses,? Mr Sreekumar said.

?This is not something that just targets specific people. It can affect everyone regardless of age and gender.?

?I always feel sympathetic when I hear stories about people suffering from cancer.? This is something I can do.?

The YAP app is designed to allow individuals to self-monitor for early signs of breast cancer. By providing monthly inputs of breast irregularities, the application can help identify if further medical screening is required.

Mr Sreekumar is currently working on improving the app by adding visual aids and multiple languages. He wants to get the word out to breast cancer organisations and promote the app internationally.

Following the success of this app he hopes to extend his software design skills to other health areas.

?The core of is providing an additional means of examination to save lives,? he said.

?It could apply to many illnesses. I want to see this technology being used world-wide.?

Sanjay Sreekumar is an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Well: The Possible Cancer Toll of CT Scans

Each year more than four million CT scans are performed on children, and they are increasing the risk for future cancer, a new study suggests.

Researchers writing online last month in JAMA Pediatrics counted the number of CT scans performed on children under 15 from 1996 to 2010 in seven American health care systems, and calculated the average dose of radiation delivered to the head, abdomen, chest or spine.

There was wide variability, but the scientists found that up to a quarter of children with a single abdominal scan received 20 millisieverts or higher. (The average dose for a chest X-ray is 0.1 millisievert.)

The researchers estimate that one year?s CT scanning in the United States would produce 4,879 future cancers in children under 15 ? a small but significant increase.

The researchers calculate that if the highest doses ? those in the top one-quarter ? could be reduced to match the average dose, future cancers would be reduced by 43 percent.

What's The Internet Thing About You That You're Hoping No One Sees?

I know what you're thinking. This chatroom is dumb. Why would anyone reveal the thing they're trying to hide? First of all, you're so afraid of it precisely because you know you can't hide it. Second of all, if you just reveal it here it'll be out there on your terms and you can stop worrying about it. This is a cleansing process. And third of all, it probably doesn't matter at all. The Atlantic says we're capturing the most beautiful moments of our lives on social media, but we know better. What's that unflattering photo or unfortunate tweet (retweeted ad nauseum) that's always in the back of your mind? Let it all out or subtly allude to it below.

Pasco changes animal control policies, procedures

Pasco County, Florida -- Following the tragic incident where a 10-year-old family cat that got out of its home was put down by an animal control officer, Pasco County decided to re-evaluate its policies and procedures.

After its review, the County decided the officer had acted in accordance with their policies, however, they also decided to make some changes to their policies that will be implemented immediately.

They are as follows:

* There will be no euthanasia in the field by Animal Control officers.

* An attempt will be made to locate the owner in the immediate vicinity prior to transport.

* If unable to return the injured animal to its owner, the officer will either take the animal to the Land O' Lakes shelter or to a participating veterinarian, if closer, to be medically evaluated.

* If the owner is not identified through microchip, tag or neighborhood locale, and the animal has been severely injured, it will be humanely euthanized at the shelter.

* The remains of any such animals will be held at the shelter for seven days.

* We will also be conducting additional training for the staff on the new?procedures and will continue to look for additional improvements.

The County says it will evaluate the impact of these changes over the next 90 days and then determine if they will remain in effect or need further modifications. It is also inviting all Pasco County veterinarians to a forum to discuss creating a network of emergency care for when injured strays are found.

The County says it would like to use this sad experience as a teaching moment to remind all pet owners to tag, microchip or tattoo their pet, to help ensure they can be reunited if they are separated.

Right now, the shelter is currently closed as the County deals with overcrowding and lack of volunteers they desperately need to help staff care for abandoned animals. The County hopes to reopen the shelter for dog adoptions on July 23.

Obama Wants to Cut $12.9 Billion from Troops

Liberals defend the health care of teachers, unions, and illegal immigrants. But when it comes to the troops, they want to cut.

A proposal by the Obama administration would save $12.9 Billion by 2017 from the Tricare system.

From Fox News

The proposed increases in health care payments by service members, which must be approved by Congress, are part of the Pentagon's $487 billion cut in spending. It seeks to save $1.8 billion from the Tricare medical system in the fiscal 2013 budget, and $12.9 billion by 2017.

"We shouldn't ask our military to pay our bills when we aren't willing to impose a similar hardship on the rest of the population," Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a Republican from California, said in a statement to the Washington Free Beacon. "We can't keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more."

Episcopal Church Weighs Ban on Straight White Males

Episcopal Church gays and lesbians are weighing a resolution to be put forward at the next General Convention making it illegal for straight white males to be admitted to the priesthood.

LA Bishop Mary Glasspool, an avowed lesbian and one of many lesbians and gays supporting the "no white males resolution", crafted her resolution after hearing a straight white male preaching a sermon condemning homosexual behavior last month.

"I was shocked, stunned, blown away and mortified. I have never heard such homophobia coming from a pulpit. That was my moment to say enough is enough.

"This comes down to a choice between misogynistic white males versus gays and lesbians in an ever shrinking church and LGBTQI folk who insist they should be able to get laid by whomever, whenever because G-d loves them just the way they are, and we choose justice, inclusion and integrity."

Bishop Glasspool said she has the support of bishops like Gene Robinson, Otis Charles, Frank Griswold, clergy like Susan Russell and pedophiles and sexual abusers like Bede Parry and many more gays who have yet to come out of the closet. She said the resolution would keep out men who only had a penile interest in women, hate-mongers, homophobes, and other gay hating types. She said she was deeply moved by the late Ronald Haines Bishop of Washington who unofficially adopted that policy when he was bishop there. It worked so well the diocese is now being largely sustained financially by the Soper Fund.

"Straight white males are only good for breeding future gays if we can screw up the family relationships early enough in their lives, but we do not want them preaching, running churches, and definitely not bishop material, it's an insult to our dignity and integrity," opined Glasspool.

But a straight white bishop, the Rt. Rev. Gregory Brewer (CF), believes that the total ban on straight white males goes "too far". He is proposing a less draconian resolution that would allow some white men who love women to remain in the Episcopal Church as associate rectors and vicars.

Glasspool concurred. "The Episcopal Church needs white males to clean up the refreshments in the kitchen on Sunday morning after the service is over. Men can clean the pews and the elements and lick plates in case the water is turned off because of an unpaid water bill," said Glasspool, noting that a large number of churches bordered on extinction owing to the collapse of heterosexual marriages.

"If they show that they can do those things and stay out of church politics, there might just be a pathway to ordination if they behave themselves and subject themselves to women priests some of whom have strong sado-masochistic tendencies."

The ECUSA has an enormous amount of financial resources - not just land and buildings, but cash and securities holdings from generations of bequests and donations.

The goal of this crew is drive away as many believers as possible while keeping the resources.

Imagine having a congregation of 50 aging liberals. You conduct one service per week - one hour's work.

In return, you are paid over $100,000 per year, you live rent-free in a lavish home, you drive a parish car, you have unlimited free time and a gold-plated retirement and health package.

All you need is a majority of the parish trustees and a cooperative bishop and you are on the gravy train for life.

It's a ploy. To force mainstream Christian churches to allow LGBT's as pastors.

Whatever ammunition is used against them in this case will be returned when churches refuse to recognize minority males turned females as candidates for the priesthood.

That?s precisely the case.

Churches have always attracted rent-seekers of a certain type. In this case excess money and no outside feedback seems to have corrupted it completely. They can in fact run their scam for as long as they like, even if their congregations decline into triviality.

In the old days the Anglicans came close to this, being not answerable to their congregations or communities, but arguably were kept out of trouble as the local landowners had the authority to appoint local clergymen. Often abused for political reasons or to give ne?er do well younger sons something to do, but most often exercised responsibly. Kept the institution tied closely both to the people and the aristocracy.

This system broke down there, with the decline of the aristocracy, and the infection spread.

When other churches or religions suffer from corrupt episodes though, the ?media? notices. A mafia living off the Episcopal corpse doesn?t seem to have attracted much notice.

Glasspool added, they will also be required to:

1. Memorize, and be able to recite fully, the Vagina Monologues, one of the additional books to our bible.

2. Begin their conversion to the female gender within months, and carry around a Church ID card with a picture clearly depicting what their new Vagina will look like.

Strict guidelines will be applied, i.e., no bikini waxes/trims, etc. A full and natural Vagina hair patch will be required to be maintained at all times, along with equivalent armpit hair -- and inspections will be performed, to compare their Vagina ID to their newly acquired Vagina, on a schedule defined by their female bishop.

However, to show that we are more merciful than God, we will allow the men to comb their Vagina patch, parted down the middle -- but NO combovers, hair tinting, or spiked hair styles will be allowed!

3. All additional rules to be identified in the upcoming "Lesbian Women Aren't Going To Take Any More Guff From God!" conference next month in San Francisco, USA. It is a George Soros/Barak Obama sponsored event.

The gentleman wasn't simply volunteering his opinion about same-sex sexual relationships ma'am. The Holy Bible clearly condemns such relationships. In fact, Romans 1:22-27 indicates that such relationships are a consequence of idolatry, disobedience of the 1st Commandment.

What deity do they worship?

Are they familiar with the One who offers Love and forgiveness or Justice poured from the now brim full Cup of Wrath?

Not much time left...

A joke today may become the reality of tomorrow...

Once gays reach a critical mass, they will start excluding straights. It happened in some Catholic seminaries.

Glasspool concurred. "The Episcopal Church needs white males to clean up the refreshments in the kitchen on Sunday morning after the service is over. Men can clean the pews and the elements and lick plates in case the water is turned off because of an unpaid water bill," said Glasspool,

This is of course satire. However what would you expect from a cult that was founded by the decadent Henry VIII ?

Its tagged as humor, but not too far from reality .

There is a very good reason why we walked away from this, and why my husband is an Anglican priest in the Anglican Church in North America.

Dear Queer Giraffes,

Due to the discriminatory nature of sexual organs, congress has determined in fairness that all fetuses are to be genetically altered as gender neutral. Opposition parties have supported the measure in that it provides if you like your gender, you can keep it.

Thank you for your continued support in upcoming elections,

Why any non-homosexual male of any race would want to attend any ECUSA "church" that has not already exited that denomination is beyond my understanding.

It's a ploy. To force mainstream Christian churches to allow LGBT's as pastors.

Whatever ammunition is used against them in this case will be returned when churches refuse to recognize minority males turned females as candidates for the priesthood.

The Episcopal Church is attempting to embrace and encourage every sexual abnormality possible.

?Q? is for Questioning

?I? is for Intersex - someone who has both male and female sex organs.

When ECUSA rejected the Bible and allowed homosexuals to be Bishops, everyone I knew bailed. Now ECUSA lies about membership, is selling off assets, and is still exploring the boundaries of sexual perversion. Look for bestiality and child sex to follow.

Mary Glasspool: I have never heard such homophobia coming from a pulpit.

When I first read this I thought it had to either be from The Onion, or satire. Guess not.

I was raised in the Episcopalian church, but bowed out decades ago. They were creepy back then and their "all gay, all the time" agenda has only made them creepier.

Having set out on a path of self-destruction, their eventual demise will not be a surprise and they won't be missed. Back when I attended Episcopalian masses, they perverted God's word and now they're perverting it even more.
