Bill Clinton Looks For Help Retiring Hillary's Campaign Debt

Bill Clinton is asking his wife's supporters to help pay off lingering debt from her 2008 presidential campaign as speculation grows on whether she will run again in 2016.

In a message to Hillary Clinton's email list, the former president offered donors the chance to spend a day with him in New York City if they gave to the fund before December 6.

"There is nothing I enjoy more than good conversation with good people, which is why I?ve enjoyed it so much whenever we?ve brought one of Hillary?s strongest supporters to New York to spend the day with me," Bill Clinton wrote. "I?m happy to tell you that I?ve asked to do it again."

After ending her presidential bid in June 2008, the now-Secretary of State was left with $25 million in debt. She has since whittled that figure down to $73,000 as of September 30.

According to ABC, the remaining debt is owed to market research firm Penn, Schoen & Berland for consulting and polling.

It's not the first time the former president has stepped in to help his wife pay down the remaining fees. He offered a similar trip to supporters in 2010.
