The Onion Debuts Fake Food Show 'Porkin' Across America' (VIDEO)

We've got to hand it to The Onion. Its latest parody, "Porkin' Across America," nails food reality television to a tee -- even the camera angles look like startlingly familiar. We half expected Adam Richman to suddenly jump into frame.

The show follows fictional host Jim Haggerty, who aims to pork it up in all 50 states. Episode 1 features Haggerty's first stop in Lexington, K.Y., where he makes insightful comments like, "It's times like these I thank god I'm not an observant Jew," and "Wow, you can really taste the cooked pork."

There's also a whole shtick with Haggerty's distressed wife calling and calling, begging him to come home. Being the wife of a food personality isn't all it's cracked up to be, apparently.
