Boston College increased its hold on the No. 1 ranking in the latest USCHO.com poll.
Despite not playing this week, the Boston College Eagles increased their standing in the latest USCHO.com men's college hockey poll.
After receiving 35 first place votes and 981 total points last week, the Eagles picked up 44 first place votes and finished with 993 total points this week. While the Eagles received more first place votes this week, their lead over No. 2 New Hampshire actually decreased. Boston College was 60 points ahead of New Hampshire last week, but the Eagles have a 55-point lead this week.
New Hampshire received four first place votes this week to remain ahead of No. 3 Notre Dame. Boston University checked in at No. 6 for the second straight week. No other Hockey East team cracked the latest top 20 although Providence and Massachusetts-Lowell both received votes.
This is the fourth straight week Hockey East teams have occupied the top two spots in the USCHO poll. Boston College was ranked No. 1 in three of those four weeks.
